Method
How IPO Radar works
Four deterministic stages between a public filing and a number on a screen. Each stage keeps the reference to the document it came from, so any score can be walked back to its sources.
- 01
Collect from the record
SEC EDGAR filings, company statements, market data, on-chain data and news, each stored with its publication date, retrieval date and source URL.
12 registered adapters · a source without credentials reports NOT CONFIGURED instead of producing data
- 02
Resolve to a company
Filings, articles and on-chain entities are matched to one company record through CIK, ticker, domain and alias resolution, so a story repeated by ten outlets stays one event.
- 03
Turn evidence into signals
Each event becomes typed signals carrying a strength, a source-quality factor, a corroboration factor and a decay half-life. A lone low-quality source is capped and can never create a strong signal on its own.
Half-lives: IPO 90d · tokenization 120d · on-chain 180d · funding and valuation 365d
- 04
Score, then show the workings
A versioned configuration converts decayed signal mass into component, dimension and radar scores. No language model sets or adjusts a score.
Weights, half-lives and formulas are published in full on the methodology page
Evidence first
The number is only as good as the paper trail behind it
Most screeners give you a verdict. IPO Radar gives you the documents, the dates, the source ranking and the arithmetic — including where the model is weak.
Not every source counts the same
Evidence is weighted by who published it, and the tier is shown next to every claim rather than averaged away.
- T1Official regulator — SEC EDGAR×1.00
- T2Company official statement×0.90
- T3Major financial publication×0.75
- T4Secondary / aggregator×0.50
- T5Unknown provenance×0.25
Each independent corroborating source adds +0.15, capped at +0.45. Copies of one press release are detected by fingerprint similarity and do not count as independent.
What the system cannot see
Coverage gaps are part of the product surface. These are the current gaps in the live universe, measured by the same job that ingests the data.
No coverage gaps recorded.
A company with no coverage scores low because there is nothing to score, not because a transition is unlikely. The scoring page states this distinction on every profile.
Three scored dimensions
IPO, tokenization and on-chain readiness are scored separately
A composite hides which transition is actually underway, so each dimension keeps its own evidence, its own components and its own decay. Leaders below are ranked by that dimension right now.
IPO signal
- What it reads
- Registration statements (S-1, F-1, DRS, 424B4), amendments, Form D offerings, 8-K current reports, underwriter and exchange relationships, executive and corporate-structure changes.
- How it is built
- Filing, banking, regulatory, executive and liquidity evidence, plus structural maturity from funding, valuation and company size.
Highest IPO signal now
Tokenization signal
- What it reads
- Explicit tokenization statements, tokenization and blockchain partnerships, transfer-agent and custody infrastructure, exchange relationships and regulatory readiness.
- How it is built
- Ten weighted components, with the strongest weight on explicit statements and named tokenization partnerships rather than sentiment.
Highest tokenization signal now
On-chain readiness
- What it reads
- Custody, settlement and transfer infrastructure, KYC/AML readiness, blockchain integrations and the tokenization providers a company actually works with.
- How it is built
- Weighted toward securities infrastructure and named providers — capability on record, not intent expressed in a press release.
Highest on-chain readiness now
